Invitation Request Idea

I love receiving wedding invites. I always get excited when someone I know is getting married especially when I'm invited because I get to be part and witness the most memorable day of their life. You can also get to know the wedding theme , color motif, and wedding details on their invitation. These days, number of reserved seats for guests is very common because in the Philippines RSVP is often neglected .

As we know we are now facing financial crisis, so most of the newly wed prefer to receive monetary gifts instead, I have this kind of poem I got from the net that I'm planning to include in our Wedding Invitation. It's a kind of a delicate request but I'm sure the guests will understand.

Our Treasure Chest

To save you from looking, shopping & buying
Here's an idea we hope you'll like trying

As we have most of the little things we require,

The gift of money for the bigger things is what we desire..

Place your card in our "TREASURE CHEST"
And we will buy for what is best

A delicate request it is,
We hope you understand.

If you decide to play along,
It will give our new life a hand.

But most importantly we would request,
That you'll turn up as our wedding guest!

Black and White Themed Wedding Flowers

Flowers can truly make a place bright and beautiful. That's why it's essential for weddings. Since I'm going to have a black and white themed wedding, I've been thinking what flowers should I have for my wedding. Actually in the Philippines, most of the caterers provides flowers for the reception venue so I don't have to worry about it, but still, I'll be the one to tell them what kind and color of flowers to use. Mr. Ryan, our catering AE, suggested to have a white and/or red flowers on a black tall pillar , sounds great.

Luckily one of my fiance's ever sexy aunt (Tita Elsie) , will provide the flowers for the church and entourage as her gift. She told us that since our wedding will take place next year, they will probably have black roses at that time hehehehe....

For me, a red and white flowers or just white flowers with black ribbon will do for the church. I like roses or tulips. I also have some ideas for the entourage, sponsors , parents and my bouquet flower arrangement. If it's impossible to have a black flowers, I'm thinking of black ribbons tied flowers instead.

Choose your Wedding Gown

I've been thinking about the kind of wedding gown I should wear on my wedding day. There's a variety of wedding gowns to choose from but in choosing your perfect gown you should consider a lot of thing especially your body type. There's different types of neckline, silhouette, waist and train to choose from.

NECKLINE is the top edge of a garment that surrounds the neck, especially from the front view.

Most Common Type of Necklines:

STRAPLESS
Having no straps, also known as a tube dress. Good for all body type.

HALTER NECKLINE
Featured high neck with deep, raglan-type armholes or else two straps from the bodice that meet in the back of the neck. Great for tall and/or broad shoulder brides.

SCOOP NECKLINE
is dips down in a U shape on the bodice. It is great for pear shaped body type, and most other body type as well.

SWEETHEART NECKLINE
This neckline forms a heart shape at the bust line, works well in accenturing cleavege. This is what I want for my wedding gown neckline.

V-NECK
is great for the hourglass body type, and full figured women, and the plurge of the V depends on the dress.

SILHOUETTE - A drawing consisting of the outline of something, a marking or shaping of the body.

Most Common Type of Silhouette:

A-LINE
Has a fitted top and a flared skirt that is widest at the hemline.

BALL GOWN
Characterized by a very full skirt that begins at the waist and continues to a formal length.

TRUMPET SKIRT
This skirt is cut on a bias and shaped like an inverted bell.
