Choose your Wedding Gown

I've been thinking about the kind of wedding gown I should wear on my wedding day. There's a variety of wedding gowns to choose from but in choosing your perfect gown you should consider a lot of thing especially your body type. There's different types of neckline, silhouette, waist and train to choose from.

NECKLINE is the top edge of a garment that surrounds the neck, especially from the front view.

Most Common Type of Necklines:

STRAPLESS
Having no straps, also known as a tube dress. Good for all body type.

HALTER NECKLINE
Featured high neck with deep, raglan-type armholes or else two straps from the bodice that meet in the back of the neck. Great for tall and/or broad shoulder brides.

SCOOP NECKLINE
is dips down in a U shape on the bodice. It is great for pear shaped body type, and most other body type as well.

SWEETHEART NECKLINE
This neckline forms a heart shape at the bust line, works well in accenturing cleavege. This is what I want for my wedding gown neckline.

V-NECK
is great for the hourglass body type, and full figured women, and the plurge of the V depends on the dress.

SILHOUETTE - A drawing consisting of the outline of something, a marking or shaping of the body.

Most Common Type of Silhouette:

A-LINE
Has a fitted top and a flared skirt that is widest at the hemline.

BALL GOWN
Characterized by a very full skirt that begins at the waist and continues to a formal length.

TRUMPET SKIRT
This skirt is cut on a bias and shaped like an inverted bell.
